广州美国人外籍人员子女学校IB演奏会，Grade 11 students from the International Baccalaureate (IB) Music course took to the stage on Tuesday, presenting their third recital of this school year! Taking part in these performances is a requirement for the IB Music course and provides a platform for showcasing all those hard-earned musical talents. It's also an amazing opportunity to boost confidence and develop presentation skills, which are invaluable tools throughout life.

Students delighted the audience who attended the recital, which featured performances on the piano, percussion, and trumpet. After years of practice and hard work perfecting their musical skillset, they impressed all in attendance by performing masterful interpretations of beloved classics and contemporary songs such as the theme from The Godfather and “Fantasie in C Minor”. 

The IB Music course tasks students with developing their talents in aspects of composition, performance, and critical analysis of music. During their two years of study, students study and analyze musical cultures, develop creative skills through techniques such as composing, arranging, and improvising, and perform in both a solo and group setting.  

IB music students hone their performance skills through dynamic recitals and seasonal concerts, giving them the opportunity to fulfill necessary course requirements! Their final recital of the year will take place in March and will also feature solo performances from IB Theater students. 

The Performing Arts program at AISG is robust, comprehensive, and founded on the belief that Band, Strings, Choir, and Drama are part of a balanced and effective education. From Preschool to Grade 12, we provide students with experiences to develop curiosity, interest, enjoyment of their own creativity and an appreciation for the performances of others.
