Since 2018, we have introduced the "Peer Tutorial Shadow Buddy" student support program in an effort to effectively promote the development of high school education system, foster a positive learning environment, and aid new students, particularly those in ESL Grade, in integrating into Maple Leaf more quickly.

“影子伙伴”项目由周恩来班牵头，周恩来班学生与英语强化年级学生结成一对一帮扶伙伴。每周周四、周五中午午餐后时间，由周恩来班同学有针对性地持续开展一对一单词听写、学习习惯培养等辅导活动，帮助伙伴解决问题、夯实基础，提升学术水平。

The "Shadow Buddy" program is led by Zhou Enlai class, with students from Zhou Enlai class forming one-to-one support partners with ESL Graders.In order to improve the academics of support partners, students from Zhou Enlai class continue to do dictation of important words and help them develop better learning habits on Thursdays and Fridays after lunch, to help solve problems and strengthen their knowledge foundation.

在本周的升旗仪式上，本学期新一届的“影子伙伴”结对子活动在明媚的春光中如期举行。结对子学生代表在主席台互赠礼物，亲切问候、殷殷嘱托在耳边回响，仪式感满满。

The new "Peer Tutorial Shadow Buddy" partnering event took place at the flag ceremony on March 13 as scheduled in the cheery springtime. In front of the podium, representatives of matched students exchanged gifts while talking to each other.

对于正处青春期的学生，同伴的影响力是巨大的。作为“影子伙伴”项目的引领者，周恩来班同学以科学严谨的学习态度和求真务实的探索精神为榜样，引领帮扶伙伴端正学习态度、积极参与校园活动。高二周恩来班的叶子琳，高三荣誉周恩来班的颜子皓，作为活动负责代表为在仪式上对“影子伙伴”项目的实施意义、本届项目的开展计划进行了介绍，并对项目实施效果进行了展望。

Peers have a significant influence on adolescents in school. Students in the Zhou Enlai class serve as the program's leaders, set examples of learning and exploration, and inspire their peers to improve their learning habits and actively participate in school events. As leading representatives, grade 11 Ye Zilin George and grade 12 Yan Zihao Mike introduced the purpose and expectations of this project.

榜样的力量是无穷的。在两位学长的宣讲后，强化年级结伴学生代表颜子杰、余紫绮同学也进行了热情洋溢的发言。同学们下定决心一定按时参加每一次辅导，查漏补缺解决短板问题，保质保量完成辅导作业，夯实自身英语基础，全面提升学术水平。

The power of role models is boundless. After the speech, Zijie Jerry and Yu Ziqi Angel, representatives of ESL graders, also made an enthusiastic speech. All students resolved to attend tutorials on time, check weak points, overcome shortcomings, complete tutorial assignments, consolidate their English foundation and to improve their academics.

春暖花开的的季节，是携手出发的季节！与优秀学长学姐为伴，我们相信强化年级同学的枫叶之路会更加坚定而成功！

Spring is when to set off on the journey together! With outstanding seniors as their companions, ESL students are confident that they will be more determined and successful in Maple Leaf!
