HZWLMS Wetland Museum Course 

科学课程是一门体现科学本质的综合基础性课程,其有助于学生保持对自然现象的好奇心,从亲近自然走向亲近科学,初步从整体上认识自然世界,理解科学、技术、社会与环境的关系,发展基本的科学能力。湿地博物馆课程就是“以世界为书本”,充分利用杭州市得天独厚的博物馆资源,在学生贴近自然过程中进一步增加情感体验,真正产生保护湿地的情感,理解保护湿地是为了更好地利用湿地。

The science curriculum is a comprehensive foundational course that embodies the essence of science. It helps students maintain curiosity about natural phenomena, transition from an appreciation for nature to an appreciation for science, develop a basic understanding of the natural world as a whole, understand the relationship between science, technology, society, and the environment, and develop basic scientific skills. The Wetland Museum curriculum is using the world as a book, fully utilizing Hangzhou's unique museum resources to increase emotional experiences in students as they get closer to nature, truly cultivating emotions for protecting wetlands, and understanding that protecting wetlands is for better use of wetlands.

科技引领未来,创新改变世界。2023年4月14日,杭州上海世外中学开展了一次走进湿地博物馆的研学课程,探寻湿地奥秘,增加环保意识。

Technology leads the future, and innovation changes the world. On April 14th, 2023, HZWLMS carried out a research-based learning course by visiting the Wetland Museum, exploring the secrets of wetlands and increasing environmental awareness.

认识湿地、了解湿地

Knowing and Understanding Wetlands

水流曲曲树重重,树里春风飞白鹭,暮春时节,湿地博物馆宛如知识渊博的长者迎接求知者的到来。参观体验中国湿地博物馆,学生在“认识湿地、了解湿地”的基础上,进一步增加了情感体验,真正产生了保护湿地的情感,理解了保护湿地是为了更好也利用湿地。

The water flows windingly, and the trees stand thickly. White egrets fly in the wind among the trees. In late spring, the Wetland Museum is like a knowledgeable elder welcoming visitors who seek knowledge. After visiting the China Wetland Museum, students not only gained a better understanding of wetlands, but also further enhanced their emotional experience and truly generated the emotion of protecting wetlands. They understood that protecting wetlands is not only for the better utilization of wetlands but also for their preservation.

湿地博物馆研学课程是带着问题和任务的,学生在参与过程中学会提取资料中的有效信息,学会辨别湿地生态系统区别于其它生态系统的特征;能根据西溪湿地的组成得出西溪湿地的类型;学会联系、对比所学科学知识,知道湿地的功能;能够联系实际,学会分析和权衡生活经济发展与环境保护间的利弊,能够联系革命事迹,寻找西溪湿地的红色革命印记。      

The Wetland Museum's study program involves questions and tasks, enabling students to extract relevant information while participating, to distinguish the wetland ecosystem from other ecosystems based on its characteristics, and to determine the type of the wetland in Xixi based on its composition. Additionally, students learn to connect and compare scientific knowledge, understand the functions of wetlands, and analyze and balance the pros and cons of economic development and environmental protection in their daily lives. They learn to find the red revolutionary marks of Xixi Wetland by connecting their knowledge to the practicalities of life.

湖水着一件宽大的绿袍,水的广袖深处,绿堤伸出长长的玉臂,一水牵着自然,一水挽着人文。水岸、路旁、亭前、屋后,芳草吐翠,修竹披墨,蕉叶正浓,有景有诗,行读其间是一场自然与人文的雅集。

The lake is wearing a wide green robe. Within the broad sleeves of the water, the green embankment extends long jade arms, holding both nature and culture together. The grass is lush along the water's edge, bamboo stalks are deep in color, and banana leaves are vibrant. With scenery and poetry, strolling and reading within, we can find that it is a collection of elegance bridging nature and culture.

湿地博物馆研学课程是一门结合学习和实践的项目化教育课程,它不仅可以让学生在行读中获得知识,还可以增强学生的实践能力和团队合作精神,拓宽世界,开拓视野。在研学中,我们可以亲身参与各种活动,如采摘、制作、体验等,这些活动可以让我们更加深入地了解知识,增强我们的实践能力。在研学中,我们可以亲身感受到不同领域的文化、历史和风土人情,了解不同领域的发展状况和特色产业,这些都是课堂知识的补充,可以让我们更加全面地了解这个世界,拓宽我们的视野。

Wetland museum study courses are project-based educational courses that integrate learning with practice. It not only allows students to acquire knowledge through reading, but also enhances their practical abilities and team spirit, and broadens their horizons. During the study, we can participate in various activities, such as picking, making, and experiencing, which can allow us to deepen our understanding of knowledge and enhance our practical abilities. In the study, we can personally experience the culture, history, and local customs of different fields, and understand the development status and characteristic industries of different fields. These are supplements to classroom knowledge, which can enable us to have a more comprehensive understanding of the world and broaden our horizons.

一望无际的湿地和蔚蓝的天空融为一体,水面上布满了涟漪,慢慢地荡漾开去,偶尔会有几只白鹭飞过湖面,此时此景似真似幻。以此为背景,开展团队探究、团建合作是本次湿地博物馆研学课程的重要学习方式。

The vast wetlands blend into the blue sky as ripples spread slowly across the water. Occasionally, a few white egrets fly over the lake, creating an unreal yet magical scene. Against this backdrop, team exploration and collaboration are important learning methods for this wetland museum study program.

走出课堂,走进自然和社会生活,需要彼此相互协作、相互支持。在研学中,参与研学的小组需要和同伴一起完成各项任务:收集素材、归纳整理、总结提炼、分工合作,这可以提高小组成员的协作能力,并养成合作、分享、积极进取的良好品质。当然,在团队探究过程中,每个参与者也需要独立完成各种任务,需要自己思考、自己解决问题,这可以增强研学者的自信心。

Going out of the classroom and into nature and social life requires mutual cooperation and support. In study tours, the participating group needs to work together with their peers to complete various tasks, such as collecting materials, organizing, summarizing, and collaborating, which can improve their collaboration skills and develop good qualities such as cooperation, sharing, and proactive attitude. Of course, each participant also needs to independently complete various tasks during the team exploration process, requiring them to think and solve problems themselves, which can enhance their confidence as study enthusiasts.

教育家陶行知提出“生活即教育,社会即学校”的主张,其深层意蕴在于让大自然和社会都成为课堂,使学校与自然、社会环境血脉相通。杭州上海世外中学湿地博物馆课程引领学生走出校园,走到鲜活的生活中去,通过研学规划、实地考察、团队探究等,对拓展视野、增进学识、锤炼意志具有重大的意义。

Educator Tao Xingzhi proposed the idea that life is education, and society is a school. Its profound implication is to make nature and society both become classrooms, and to make schools and the natural and social environment interconnected. The wetland museum course offered by HZWLMS guides students to step out of the campus and into the vibrant world. Through experiential planning, field inspection, team exploration, this course has significant importance for expanding students' horizons, enhancing their knowledge, and tempering their willpower.
