Good afternoon, everybody! I am William Gao. You can call me Prince William. My Chinese teachers love to call me like this.

自从四年级下学期转到深圳市枫叶学校，我的童年发生了翻天覆地的变化。在公立学校的时候，我是一个老是被嫌弃的小孩儿，为啥呢？大家或多或少都听说过我的美名，我是一个小话唠，在以前的学校，因为一个班人太多，老师在管理的时候往往会产生不耐烦，于是我觉得自己满身缺点，自从四年级下学期过来了，我觉得学校的生活非常的美好并且快乐. 为什么呢？让我一一来讲给你听吧！

Since I was moved to Shenzhen Maple Leaf School in the second semester of grade four, I can say that my childhood has changed drastically. When I was in public school, I was continually despised. Why? Everyone knows my name. I'm a little too much, in the previous school, because too many people, a class teacher in management tends to generate impatience, so I feel all of fault was made by myself, since the fourth grade next semester, I think living in school life is delicious, and pleasant. Why is that? Let me tell you.

第一是来到了这个学校我惊奇的发现，我以前在别的学校的缺点在这里居然变成了优点。以前的老师见到我，就跟仇人似的！见到我第一句话永远都是：作业写完了没？（面无表情）或者“作业写完了吗？”我感觉他们就像在催我还钱，而我就是那个借高利贷的人。

The first one is that after coming to this school, I was shocked to discover that my disadvantages in other schools had turned into advantages here. When my former teacher saw me, he looked like an enemy! He always said to me when he saw me: homework finished? "Or" Have you finished your homework? I felt like they were pressing me for the cash return, and I was the loan shark.

但是到枫叶之后，学习成了我自己的事。这里的上课方式非常的有趣，每节课都会有演说，甚至游戏的环节，还有动手实践课堂，而这些全部都是我的长项，使我的各科学习进步非常之大，而且我学会了更多的知识，班主任鼓励我们每个人阅读，她让我宿舍里建立阅读小组，我们早晨起来就结伴阅读小说，每一天都健康快乐地在学校学习。

But after I came to Maple Leaf, learning is my own thing. The classes here was very interesting, Beginning of each class will have a speech, we will play the games during learning and we had fun in the Steam class, these are all my best points, my learning progress is very big in all the subjects, and I learned more knowledge, Ms.Li ,my homeroom teacher, always encouraged us to read, she asked us reading by the group of the dormitory , We often read together before breakfaster or after school  ,We were really study happily and healthily every day in school.

就连以前我最不擅长的作文，也变成了长处。老师总对我说，用我手写我心。看着我自己自从四年级下学期转过来写的作文，我很是惊讶，原来我的内心那么丰富呢！

Even composition, which I was not good at before, has become my strength. The teacher always told me to write it with my feelings and heart. Looking back at myself from the fourth grade in the second semester to turn over to write the composition, I was shocked. How good I was!

再就是，我喜欢这里的学习方式和我之前在学校的学习方式完全不一样，我爸跟我说过，现在我的学习就是一个良性的循环，我学的越好，我就越爱学，我越爱学，我就学得越好。

I like the way of learning here. It is totally different from the way I used to learn in public school. My father told me that now my learning is a virtuous circle. The better I understand, the more I enjoy learning, the better I learn.

虽然现在的班主任对我非常的严格，我的一举一动都逃不过她的法眼。她真的像一个妈妈，有操不完的心。

My homeroom teacher Ms.Li was very stringent, my every move could not escape her eyes. She is genuinely like a mother, and has an endless love for us.

从晨炼，到早读的指导，有的时候因为中午我们淘气，她就特意去坐在我们房间里看着我们休息，晚上也永远会看到她在学校里的身影，晚自习她还会给我们补习，当有的同学不开心，她就去宿舍跟她们谈心；有的时候我会想，老师您不累吗？您怎么有这么大的能量啊？

From early exercise, to the guidance of the early read, sometimes at noon because we are naughty, she will go to watch us sitting in our room to rest. In the evening she will never see her in school. If there are students who don't understand the night, she will give us the tutorial. When some classmates can't be happy, she will go to the dormitory to talk with them; sometimes I think, teacher, are you not tired? How much energy do you have?

我们学的好，她就给我们用积分换食品。你积分越多，就有机会换取自己喜欢吃的食物或者玩的物品，期末还能跟父母换一点奖学金，我们每个人都积极努力学习争取获得更高的积分。

If we do well, she gives us points in exchange for food. The more points you get, you have the chance to exchange things you like to eat or play with. At the end of the semester, you can also exchange some scholarships with your parents. Everyone of us worked hard to get more points.

让我更喜欢的就是这里的老师各个都非常的负责，和蔼可亲，英语老师，数学老师，语文老师，各科的老师都是教学的高手。而且他们也非常的喜欢我，即使我犯了错误，也会耐心地为我讲解错误的点并且教我为人处事的道理。

What I like more is that the teachers here are all very responsible, amiable, English, math and Chinese teachers, teachers of all subjects are masters of teaching. And they also like me very much. Even if I make mistakes, they will patiently explain the mistakes to me and teach me the truth about people.

我和我的爸妈都对枫叶学校的评价极高，即使每年十几万的学费也是非常值得的，即使这个学校不能提供100%最好的服务给我们，但是它也满足了绝大部分同学的意愿和枫叶学校的宗旨。

My parents and I thought the annual tuition of more than one hundred thousand yuan was still worth it. Even though the school cannot provide 100% of the best service for us, it still meets the wishes of most students and the purpose of us.

有人说，我是一个调皮捣蛋的坏孩子，但也有人说我是一个能说会道的机灵鬼，枫叶学校和老师们就像是我的伯乐，不断发挥着我的潜力，并伴随着我每一步健康快乐地成长。这里我要感谢我的班主任，她盯得我很紧，真的让我没有喘息的机会，但是我真的为此获得了更多的荣誉和成长谢谢您，谢谢王校长，谢谢老师们,我爱你们。

Some people say that I am a mischievous bad boy, but others say that I am a clever talker. Maple Leaf School and its educators are like my bole, who continually exert my potential and grow up healthily and cheerfully with me every step of the way. Here I want to thank my homeroom teacher. She stared at me very closely, genuinely let me have no opportunity to breathe, but I obtained more honor and growth. Thank you, Ms. Li, thank Principal Mr. Wang, thank you my teachers, we love you.
