Eighth Grade Student Conference of Bilingual Department in Hangzhou Shanghai Foreign Language Middle School


为了梦想，我们踏过书山坎坷，度过学海茫茫，我们用青春写下诗行，用智慧培育理想。为进一步激发八年级学子的学习积极性，振奋学子精神，科学高效学习，杭州世外中学双语部八年级于3月24日举办了主题为“同心共筑，追梦前行”八年级学生大会。

For the dream, we have stepped through the ups and downs of the book mountains. We have written lines of poetry with youth and cultivated ideals with wisdom. In order to further stimulate the learning enthusiasm of the students, inspire their spirit, and conduct scientific and efficient learning, the eighth grade student conference of the Bilingual Department in Hangzhou Foreign Language Middle School was held on March 24th, with the theme of “Building Together, Pursuing Dreams, and Moving Forward”.

八年级全体教师出席了本次学生大会，年级组长牛美玲老师主持了会议，并做了精彩的发言。牛老师回顾了这学期八年级获得的成绩，从学生的现状出发，结合目前学科的情况，对同学们给予了勉励。“业精于勤荒于嬉。春种秋收，时光不负，曾经的汗水和付出必将收获沉甸甸的果实，自信、微笑和荣耀。”她希望八年级的同学们都能像梅花一样有凌寒独自开的斗志与勇气。

All eighth grade teachers attended the conference,and the grade director Irene presided over the meeting and made a wonderful speech. Irene reviewed the achievements obtained in the eighth grade of this semester and gave encouragement to the students based on their current situation . “Achievement is founded on diligence and wasted upon recklessness. With spring sowing and autumn harvest, time never fails. The sweat and effort once made will surely yield heavy fruits, confidence,smile, and glory.” She hopes that eighth grade students can have the fighting spirit and courage to blossom alone like plum blossoms.

本学期八年级的同学们，或文明守礼优雅大气，或勤学不倦取得佳绩，或奋发向前进步斐然。他们展示实力，留下欢乐；他们用坚定的步伐，踏出一片智慧的天地。八年级的教师们为这些孩子们，颁发了文明之星、学业之星、进步之星等各个奖项。他们是一群领头雁，遨游在知识的海洋里。他们徜徉于思维的国度，在白纸黑字间放飞理想。

The eighth grade students of this semester are either civilized, courteous, elegant, and diligent in their studies to achieve outstanding results, or strive to make remarkable progress. They show their strength and leave behind joy; With firm steps, they have stepped into a world of wisdom. The eighth grade teachers presented various awards to these children, including the Star of Civilization, the Star of Learning, and the Star of Progress. They are a group of leading geese roaming in the ocean of knowledge. They roam in the country of thought, flying their ideals in black and white.

本次优秀学生代表方若菲同学也做了精彩的发言。“静心而思，奋力而行，主动学习，承担责任”，方若菲同学向其他同学们介绍了自己的学习经验，提出了具体的学习建议，给予了大家奋勇向前、努力拼搏的信心。言辞恳切的话语，深入浅出的告诫，给每位同学心中都留下了非常深刻的印象。

Gloria, the outstanding student representative, also made a wonderful speech. “Thinking calmly, working hard, taking the initiative to learn, and taking responsibility”, she introduced her learning experience to other students, put forward specific learning suggestions, and gave them the confidence to forge ahead and work hard. The sincere words and simple warnings left a very deep impression on every student’s heart.

本次进步之星代表蔡明希同学也做了精彩的发言。“巩固知识，掌握方法，超越自我，再接再厉”，蔡明希同学有勤勉、刻苦的习惯，有执着、坚毅的品格，有灵活、缜密的思维，有深刻、独到的见解，她的这些学习品质，给在座的同学们树立了卓绝的榜样。

 Stella, Star of Progress also made a wonderful speech. “Consolidating knowledge, mastering methods, surpassing self, and making persistent efforts.” Stella has a habit of diligence and hard work, a persistent and resolute character, flexible and meticulous thinking, and profound and unique insights. Her learning qualities have set an excellent example for other students.

本次八年级学生大会，在一言一语中都寄托着同学们对未来的美好憧憬。同学们都表示受益匪浅。星光不负赶路人，岁月不负有心人，希望各位同学可以调整心态，积极应对，披星戴月，奋不顾身，勇于超越。

Every word of this conference shows students’ hopes for the future. The students all benefit from it. The stars do not disappoint the passersby, and the years do not disappoint the purposeful. Hope that all students can adjust their mindset, respond actively, study day and night, bravely face challenges, and have the courage to surpass.
