上海中学国际部:书院制导师项目促发展

国际部书院制导师项目

从2021年9月起,我校国际部在 9-10 年级开始试点书院制导师项目 (SHSID House Program),受到了学生的广泛好评。作为我校国际部“双导师制度”中的重要组成部分,今年2月起,书院制导师项目正式推行并顺利开展各项活动,旨在引领学生聚焦志趣、拓宽专业领域的眼界和认知、塑造具有国际视野的价值观、提升在校社群归属感,同时进一步深化班主任与学科教师的协同合作。基于此初衷,学期中所有导师都会采取多种方式来更好地辅导和指导学生,例如一对一咨询、生涯指导课、主题讲座、趣味活动以及个人成长项目等。

本学期有31名优秀的中外教师积极参与此项目。导师们从教育教学经验、学科专业领域、兴趣爱好拓展等方面,为学生提供详细的个人介绍材料,形成了导师名录供学生选择。导师们在各领域学科教学和活动经验丰富,因此对于9-10年级学生在学业和活动的需求有着深刻了解,同时也拥有众多潜在技能。每位G9-10同学都可以自选一位书院制导师(House Mentor),并在志趣探索和生涯规划等方面,跟随导师一起探索个人成长之路。

通过师生见面会,导师和学生建立了尊重平等、亦师亦友的师生关系;通过定期的沟通,导师为每一个学生提供陪伴式关怀与指导,建立了有效的师生沟通机制,多角度完善学生的个人成长档案。

以导师的专业方向为引领,各“书院”利用午间和放学时间先后开展了形式各异丰富多彩的活动,涵盖了主题讲座、外请嘉宾讲座、生涯指导课、读书会、优秀学长学姐分享、校友采访、同伴分享、趣味竞答、手工制作和心理疏导等多方面。每个“书院”的活动都会针对性地向该领域感兴趣的同学推荐,同时也广泛宣传并面向9-10年级所有同学,确保活动的参与度和效果。

学期结束前,导师们开展了各具特色的活动分享,互相借鉴各自的活动策划和方案,导师们都很珍惜这个与同学们沟通的机会,尽自己所能引领同学们探索未知领域,也充分体现了各位导师的育人智慧和专业素养;同学们根据参与的情况完成了反馈调查,大家充分表达了自己对该项目的支持,反思了成长与收获,提出了对于未来活动的期待和建议。

“导师制”作为学生个别化教育的探索,是因材施教的一种诠释,自House Program推行以来,受到了学校、家长和各部门的大力支持,学生反响强烈,同时我们也在导师匹配、师生沟通、活动形式等方面探索并积累了各具特色的做法和经验。期待未来更丰富的导师制活动为每一位同学打造更多个性化的发展平台,充分发挥其在国际部德育教育中的价值和作用,提高国际部育人工作的针对性和实效性。

The SHSID House Program for Grades 9-10 was piloted in September 2021 and has received widespread acclaim from students.  As an important part of the "Double Mentorship" of our school, this program has been officially launched and various activities have been carried out smoothly since February. The House Program aims to lead students to focus on their interests, broaden their horizons and cognition in professional fields, shape their values with an international perspective, enhance the sense of belonging to the school community, and further deepen the collaboration between homeroom teachers and subject teachers. Based on this original intention, each mentor will complete several basic tasks every semester, such as one-on-one counseling, career planning courses, themed lectures, fun activities, personal growth project guidance, etc.

31 outstanding teachers participated in this program this semester. Students were provided with detailed introductions of the mentors, including educational background, teaching experience, professional field of interest development, etc. The mentors were teachers with rich experience in teaching and activities in various subjects, so they were very familiar with the academic and activity needs of students in Grades 9-10, and they also had many hidden skills. Every G9-10 student can choose one House Mentor, and explore personal growth paths in terms of interest exploration and career planning.

Through first meetings, mentors and students established a teacher-student relationship that respected equality. Through regular communication, mentors provided guidance for each student, and established an effective communication mechanism with students, completing the student's personal growth file from different perspectives.

Led by the mentors, each House carried out different and colorful activities during lunchtime and after school, including theme lectures, guest lectures, career planning classes, reading sessions, PA lectures, alumni interviews, fun quizzes, handicrafts, and mental health guidance. The activities of each House were recommended to students who were interested in this field, and they were also promoted to all students in both grades to ensure the participation and effectiveness of the activities.

Before the end of the semester, the mentors conducted a sharing of activities, learning from each other's activity plans. The mentors all cherished this opportunity to communicate with the students and did their best to lead them to explore unknown areas, showing their educating wisdom and professionalism. The students completed a feedback survey based on their participation, and they fully expressed their support for the program, reflected on their growth and gains, and put forward their expectations and suggestions for future activities.

The House Program has received strong support from the school, parents, students, and various departments. We expect this program to create more personalized development platforms for each student in the future, to play more of an important role in their moral education, and to improve the relevance and effectiveness of our work.
