春风拂面，最美人间四月天，正是读书好时节，书香满校园。每年的4月23日是世界读书日！

世界读书日设立目的是为了推动更多的 人去阅读和写作，希望每个人都能尊重和感谢为人类文明做出过巨大贡献的文学、文化、科学、思想大师们。本周青苗学校昆明校区整个小学部共同漫步在书香的丛林中，经历了一段美好的旅程。

The spring breeze touches our faces gently, the most beautiful April, and it is the perfect time to read. The fragrance of books fills the campus.

World Book Day falls on April 23rd every year. The purpose of its establishment is to promote more people to read and write, hoping that everyone can respect and thank the literary, cultural, scientific, and ideological masters who have made great contributions to human civilization.

在IB PYP的课程框架中提出孩子们应广泛的接触和体验视觉艺术的各个领域。同时，艺术也应作为孩子们探究活动中的辅助学科，帮助孩子更深地理解超学科主题。

孩子们在体验艺术活动的同时，也是在表达自己对于已认知世界的理解，通过点、线、面的美术语言，表达自己内心最真实的想法。此次阅读周，青苗昆明小学部设置了两项关于视觉艺术的活动——教室门装饰绘画及梦想图书馆绘画。

The IB PYP curriculum framework proposes that children should be exposed to and experience a wide range of fields of visual arts. At the same time, art should also be used as an auxiliary subject in children's exploration activities, helping children to have a deeper understanding of the subject beyond the subject.

While experiencing art activities, children are also expressing their understanding of the known world, and expressing their innermost thoughts through the art language of point, line and surface. This reading week, BIBS Kunming Primary School set up two activities about visual art -- classroom door decoration painting and dream library painting.

阅读分享也是我们进一步带领孩子们挖掘阅读资源，培养孩子们阅读能力，锻炼孩子们双语表达能力，进一步激发孩子们阅读兴趣和自信心的方式。在阅读周中，我们设置了两种分享方式：

Reading sharing is also a way for us to further lead children to explore reading resources, cultivate children's reading ability, exercise children's bilingual expression ability, and further stimulate children's interest in reading and confidence. 书籍角色扮演走秀

从角色选择到服装设计再到情感表达，孩子们都按照自己的理解来步步推进。我们希望孩子们通过角色扮演与书中的情节、人物产生更多的共鸣，更加深入的理解整个故事线，记忆点也更加鲜亮。

From character selection to costume design to emotional expression, the children are guided by their own understanding. We hope that children can have more resonance with the plot and characters in the book through role-playing, so that they can have a deeper understanding of the whole story line and have more vivid memories.

以书会友：二手书籍交换

读完的书籍不是放在家里落灰，而是与伙伴们交换，增加阅读广度和深度同时也为环保贡献一份孩子们的力量。

Instead of leaving the books at home to gather dust, they are exchanged with their partners to increase the breadth and depth of reading while contributing to the environmental protection of children.

书，对孩子而言，是认识外在世界的重要管道，每个父母都希望自己的孩子喜欢阅读，也期望孩子把这种愉快的经验，延伸到未来的成长阶段。

那么亲子阅读、竞答、配乐朗诵，这些共同的经历，其中所获取的知识和乐趣都是孩子们成长中宝贵的财富。此次阅读周我们便想通过亲子知识竞答及亲子美文配乐朗诵，给孩子们留下这份成长的礼物。

Books, for children, are an important channel to know the outside world, and every parent wants their children to enjoy reading, and also expects their children to extend this pleasant experience to the future stage of growth

. So parent-child reading, competition, music recitation, these common experience, which acquired knowledge and fun are precious wealth for children's growth. In this reading week, we want to leave the gift of growth to children through parent-child knowledge contest and parent-child no questions soundtrack recitation.

在此次阅读周中，学校阅读领域的最高荣誉——成为百万阅读俱乐部会员，也展开了招募。想法如风，知识若帆，人为船。享受阅读，让丰富的知识转化为我们独一无二的百万人生。阅读字数累积达到一百万字（中英文，线上或线下）方可获得俱乐部会员的“百万证书”。虚位以待，我们期待着每一位孩子都是阅读领域的“百万富翁”

At our school, the highest honor in the field of reading is to become a member of the Millionaire Club. Ideas are like wind, knowledge our sail, and us the ship. Enjoy reading, let knowledge lead an enriching life. 

Application requirements: Reach one million words by reading (in Chinese and English, online or offline). Selected club members will receive the coveted "Millionaire Certificate".

PYP Book Week

青苗昆明校区小学部始终重视孩子们阅读习惯的培养。根据有关“儿童阅读”研究的发现：六岁到十二岁是孩子们阅读的丰沛期，孩子们就像一块海绵，遇水即吸。在这个关键的时期，家校合作，我们与孩子们共同进步。

The Primary School  of BIBS Kunming  always attaches importance to the cultivation of children's reading habits. According to the findings of the "children's reading" study, between the ages of six and 12, children are the most fertile reading period. Children are like sponges, sucking up water. In this critical time, we work with our children to make progress together.
