迎着朝阳，在兴奋的气氛中，运动健将们摩拳擦掌期待着比赛的开始。随着开幕式的结束，运动会正式拉开帷幕，紧张的赛事有序开展起来了。

As the morning sun rose the young athletes geared up for their events. The Opening Ceremony drew to a close and SUIS Qingpu’s Middle School Sports Day began smoothly with a palpable whiff of excitement in the air.

短跑

Sprint

广阔的跑道上，同学们心无旁骛地在起跑线前，蓄势待发。伴随着发令枪的枪声，健将们好似离弦的箭，迈着矫健的步伐冲向终点。

The sprinters took their marks and at the sound of the starting pistol propelled themselves to the finish line and glory.

长跑

Long-distance running

这是一场持久战，在漫长的距离中，是与时间赛跑；在体力的消磨中，是和自己对抗；跑出耐心，赛出恒心！迎着同伴的欢呼声，坚定着自己的信念，跑出自己的风采，以最自信的自己，冲向终点，取得荣耀！不仅是运动健将们的暗暗较量，各班的同学们也是带着青春的激情，用陪跑的方式，去肯定、去激励我们的运动员。即使没有夺冠也好，努力拼搏，超越自我，就是最佳状态！

This is often referred to as a test against oneself, a longer event of endurance where placement at the finish fades in importance relative to the need to push yourself as hard as you can go over the distance. It is important to run your own race and to keep to a true rhythm and style that suits the runner. True victory comes from hard, honest work and surpassing ability previously and wrongly believed.

跳远

Long Jump

跳远比赛场上，助跑、起跳、腾空、落地，双臂在空中划过精彩的弧线，耳边呼啸着风声、呐喊声、喝彩声。随着身后扬起的尘沙，心中已满怀热血。

Run-up, take-off and land, arms crossed in a wonderful arc in the air as wind rushes by and the cheers of the crowd blur into one. As the dust settles my heart is full of pride.

铅球

Shot Put

站定、蓄力、送骻、推臂、置球！动作一气呵成，运动员们用尽全力将球投掷到最远处。这里承载着青春的活力！

Brace! Pivot! Push your arm forward with all your might! Athletes hurl the shot as far as they can in a powerful show of youthful vitality.

接力

Relay

这是一场速度与毅力的接力；是一场期待与拼搏的接力；是一场团结与默契的接力；每一次接力棒的交接，都凝结着希望与信任；每一次奋力跑的脚印，都在超越极限；前方，是队友远远伸出的手，是队友目光中的急切、鼓励和希冀，让正在冲锋的队友势如破竹、锐不可当！他们放飞自我，团结协作，再一次展现他们的青春。没有比脚更远的路，没有比心更高的山。益坚益壮，宁移白首之心；不折不挠，岂坠青云之志。

Speed, strength, endurance, coordination and communication are vital components of the relay. The baton is handed over again and again and with it the hope of the runners and supporters. As the young competitors speed around the track to the roaring enthusiasm of the spectators they must unite in their ambition and work as a team. One youthful unit, all with the same goal in mind - another powerful show of the vitality of youth and togetherness.

一！二！拉！随着口号的响起，同学们在两边奋力拔，拔的是绝对力量；拔的是团队合作；拔的是青春的热血与蓬勃！团结在拼搏中彰显。随着欢呼的紧跟而来，冠军已定。

One! Two! Pull! Two teams going head-to-head in a competition of strength and teamwork. The strongest side does not always win, as unity is shown to be essential. As the dust settles, there is only one team left standing.

在全场人员雷鸣般的掌声中，运动会各项比赛项目的冠军、亚军、季军先后登场亮相。他们代表班级站上高高的领奖台，组委会代表依次送上奖牌。镜头定格在这一刻，所有的荣誉都是运动员们用毅力和勇气、奋斗和拼搏赢来的，是他们把锻炼融入日常，一次次超越自我赢来的。他们收获的不仅仅是奖牌，还有汗水凝结出的美好果实，衷心地祝贺他们！

Amidst the thunderous applause of the audience, the champion, runner-up and third place finishers are rewarded for their efforts. They have surpassed themselves, they have struggled and shown commitment, unity and strength. They stand high on the podium accepting the plaudits, knowing that they, along with all others, have worked hard to achieve their dreams. They have won not only medals but also the recognition of their peers.

泪水与挫折交融，汗水与欢笑相拥；青春与阳光并肩，激情与呐喊相伴。同学们笑容洋溢，彰显出逐梦飞扬的青春！体育的魅力就在于此，它带给我们健康和快乐的身体，赋予我们拼搏和坚持的力量。一年一度的运动会检阅了学生们强健的体魄和意志，展现了学子们积极向上的精神风貌，相信来年的运动会将更加精彩，相信日后的每一天大家都会拼搏不止，不负韶华！

Tears and setbacks blend, sweat and laughter embrace; youth and sunshine are side by side, passion and shouting are combined. The students are full of smiles, showing their youthful dreams! This is sport. It brings us healthy bodies and smiling faces. It teaches us that we must work and persevere in order to achieve. There is much to look forward to next year where once again our students will relish in showing their determination, teamwork, joyful exuberance and sportsmanship.
