The amazing journey of Disney Little Pumpkin

2022年12月5日，一年级先锋班和万源班的小朋友分别在学校四楼报告厅聆听了来自家长们的精彩讲座。

On December 5, 2022, Grade 1 Pioneer Class and Local Class attended the wonderful lectures from parents in the auditorium.

在孩子们的成长过程中都听过童话故事，都曾被五彩缤纷、神奇变幻的童话世界所吸引，那些奇妙的经历、刺激的冒险是每一个幸福童年不可或缺的记忆。

Children have heard fairy tales when they grow up. They have all been attracted by the colorful and magical fairy tale world. Those wonderful experiences and exciting adventures are indispensable memories of every happy childhood.

P1C的潘爸爸和先锋班的孩子们分享了一段“迪士尼小南瓜们的奇妙旅程”。

Mr Pan from P1C shared "a wonderful journey for Disney's little pumpkins" with the pioneer class children.

潘爸爸的公司是专做全域沉浸娱乐体验设计的，是顶尖IP主题乐园——迪士尼乐园的合作方。我们去迪士尼看到的那些美丽的入园装饰，元旦新年那些漂亮的红色米老鼠灯笼，万圣节的可爱南瓜灯，甚至一些主题场景布置，如“宝藏湾”、“寻梦环游记”等等，都是出自潘爸爸的工厂哦。

Mr Pan’s company specializes in the design of global immersive entertainment experience. It is also a partner of one of the top IP theme parks---Disneyland. The beautiful park decorations we can see in Disney are all from Mr Pan's factory such as the beautiful red Mickey Mouse lanterns on New Year's Day, the cute jack-o'-lanterns for Halloween and even some themed scene arrangements like "Treasure Bay" and "Coco" and so on.

对于孩子来说，在现实世界的背后，真的有一个超时空的存在，借助童话的翅膀，孩子超越各种界限，获得自由，达成愿望。冒险、秘密、超时空是精彩童话故事具有的元素，也是孩子们需要的活力源泉。

For children, there is a time-space really existing behind the real world. Children transcend boundaries, gain freedom and achieve wishes with the help of fairy tale wings. Adventure, secrets, and time-space are the elements of a wonderful fairy tale. They are the source of vitality that children need.

潘爸爸深知孩子们的心理，先用一段迪士尼的视频一下子吸引住了宝贝们的眼球，在连连的惊叹声中，潘爸爸抛出了“这些迪士尼的小南瓜们是如何制作出来的？”引导孩子们去猜测思考。然后再用浅显生动的语言跟孩子们介绍了这些道具装置的制作流程。

Mr Pan first used a Disney video to attract the attention of the students who are immersed in the amazing video. Then Mr Pan asked the question "How are these Disney little pumpkins made?" to guide the children to guess and think. After that he introduced the production process of these installations to the children in simple and vivid language.

听了潘爸爸的介绍，孩子们对迪士尼乐园里的场景装置产生了浓浓的兴趣，知道了要完成一个产品从设计到翻模、上色，再到安装是由无数人配合完成的。设计一个产品更是需要融合多学科的知识，光靠学好一门功课是万万不行的，未来我们需要成为综合性的人才。

After the introduction, the children became very interested in the scene installations in Disneyland. They knew that installations were completed by countless people from designing to molding and coloring. Designing a product requires the integration of multidisciplinary knowledge. We need to become a comprehensive talent in the future.

探索风味世界

Explore the World of Flavors

“民以食为天,食以安为先”,来自一（3）班家长志愿者侯晓真女士则给万源班的孩子们分享了“探索风味世界”。

Ms. Hou, a parent volunteer from Grade1, shared "Explore the World of Flavors" with the children in Local Class.

有人说，喜欢吃的人，能得到比旁人多一半的乐趣。例如苏轼一生坎坷，可他贬到哪，吃到哪，还自创了“东坡肉”、“东坡豆腐”、“东坡饼”、“烤羊蝎子”等名菜，让世人忽略了他的苦难，而爱上了他的达观。由此看来，吃能治愈人，是生活中的小确幸。

Some people say that people who like to eat can get more pleasure than others. For example, Su Shi had a bumpy life but wherever he degraded he ate happily. He also created famous dishes such as "Dongpo meat", "Dongpo tofu", "Dongpo cake", "roasted backbones of sheep " and so on. So we ignored his suffering and fell in love with his vision. Eating can cure people which is a small luck in life.

活动开始之初，侯女士向大家介绍了食品及食品新产品开发的前期工作，比如麦当劳的汉堡是怎么来的，可乐的饮料新概念，还给同学们讲解了柑橘杂交的知识。除此之外，还有闻味道猜风味环节，每个班级选出10位小朋友上台取得香味试纸，让大家感受到不同的风味的不同魅力。

At the beginning of the activity, Ms. Hou introduced the preliminary work of food product development to the students such as the making process of McDonald's burgers, the new concept of Coke and the knowledge of citrus hybridization. In addition, there was also a smell and taste guessing game. Ten children from each class were selected to get scent test strips on stage, so that they could feel the different charm of different flavors.

两位家长都深谙一年级小朋友的心理特点，讲课语言通俗易懂，设置的互动环节有趣好玩，还都准备了精美的小礼物送给现场积极参与的孩子。孩子们被这样的课堂深深吸引，听得时而入迷，时而纷纷举手，踊跃发言。

Both parents understand the psychological characteristics of Grade1 children, the lectures are easy to understand and the interactive sessions are interesting and fun. They have prepared beautiful small gifts for the children who actively participated. The children loved those lectures. They raised their hands and spoke enthusiastically.

人间有味是清欢，不负人生不负胃。相信这样的课堂肯定让孩子们终身难忘。

The taste of the world is pure joy, and you can't live well without satisfying your stomach. I believe that children were all impressed by this class and would remember it forever.
