艺术是变化莫测的，是超脱一切介质的。受到CM Space 厘米空间画廊的邀请，我们协和教科融合课程部的美术老师，英国艺术家，Paul W. James近期举办了全新创作的综合材料作品展——《超越》。

Part.01

17 years experience 

17 年的资深教学经历

Mr. James has over 17 years of experience in the education industry, where he has worked in the public, private, and corporate sectors, teaching students of all ages. His education background includes attending UAL, University of The Arts London, where he honed his craft and developed his artistic vision.

Mr. James 在教育行业有超过17年的教学经验，教授过各个年龄段的学生。他毕业于艺术圣校UAL伦敦艺术学院，在那里他精进了技艺，也发展了自己的艺术视野。

Part.02

In "Beyond," Mr. James work is all about intuitive feeling. He asks viewers to let go of the outer world, to reject the representational, and to explore their inner world. He believes that as we progress through our understanding of the world, we begin to see that everything is far from solid. Underneath the fabric of reality lies a more amorphous and ambiguous inner realm, and the artist wants us to explore this world.

在《超越》中，Mr. James的作品叙说着一切直觉的感觉。他倡导观众拒绝表象，不要一味的只关注外在的表现，执着探讨外在表现到底是什么，要探索他们的内心世界。他相信，随着我们对世界万物的理解不断深入，我们开始看到，真实和以为似乎并不相同。在现实的构建之下，有一个更加无定形和模糊的内心世界，探索这个世界，用不一样的视角重新发现这个世界。

Paul W. James 

The eminent artist, Ellsworth Kelly once said, "I think that if you can turn off the mind and look only with the eyes, ultimately everything becomes abstract." Mr. James's work echoes this sentiment, as he encourages us to go beyond the physical and representational towards a more spontaneous and imaginative inner world.

美国艺术家埃尔斯沃思-凯利曾说过："我认为，如果你能秉持自己的内心，遵循自己的眼睛，最终一切都似乎会变得抽象"。保罗的作品呼应了这一观点，他鼓励大家超越物理和表象，走向一个更加直观和富有想象力的内心世界。

For Mr. James, less is more, and he strips everything away to take interpretation to its essential element, where feeling and light take center stage as the central meaning and message. His work looks at life through an perceptive lens that is stripped down to its core essence.

Part.03 

As an educator, he also brings his philosophy to the classroom. Along with teaching regular art classes, he brings a unique perspective to the classroom, inspiring his students to find their inner world and lead them to discover the "truth" that can be displayed in art. He believes that art is not just about technique, but about finding one's own unique voice. He encourages his students to continuously explore and to use art as a way to communicate their feelings and emotions.
