上海青浦区协和双语学校:四月升旗仪式

在这春风花草香的美丽时节,青浦协和迎来了四月升旗仪式,暨心理健康活动季开幕。本次活动由高中部主持,主题为“Pink Day 改变,从我们开始”。当天早上,师生们纷纷穿上象征着反对欺凌的粉色着装,在签名墙留下自己的信念。On April 10, SUIS Qingpu held a Flag-raising Ceremony with the theme of “Pink Day - Change starts with us”. Students and teachers wore pink clothing and/or accessories that served to symbolize anti-bullying and signed their names on a large Pink Day signature wall.

History of the Pink Day

Pink Day最初源自加拿大的一所高中。一个男生由于穿了粉色衣服遭受同学欺凌。在场的两位男同学及时制止,还发起了穿着粉色衣服,提出反对欺凌的倡议。这一行动很快获得许多同学的支持,大家纷纷以粉色表达关爱与友善。如今 Pink Day 在世界各地都获得认同,其影响逐步扩大到各类学校、工作场合、生活社区。

The International Day of Pink was started in Canada, after two high school students saw a boy being bullied because he was wearing a pink shirt. The two students intervened at that moment, but also wanted to do more to prevent bullying at their school.In a stroke of creative genius, these two young men decided to purchase pink shirts and wear them to school. This action sparked a larger movement - a few days later almost everyone else at their school arrived at class wearing pink, standing in solidarity for anti-bullying. The result was that an entire school took a stand and began working together to prevent bullying of any type.

The International Day of Pink campaign has continued to grow. It is now an international anti-bullying campaign that thrives in schools, workplaces, and communities.

4月10日的升旗仪式上,高中部心理老师 Ms. Allison Wang 组织了名为“请不要给我贴标签”的游戏。通过10个问题,让同学们直观体会到“贴标签”这一行为会蒙蔽人的意识,使得彼此区别对待,而这也是歧视和欺凌的开端。

At the Flag-raising Ceremony, Ms. Allison Wang, the high school’s psychological counsellor, organized a game called "Please don't label me". Through 10 questions, she helped students understand that the act of ‘labeling’ deceives one’s consciousness and make us treat each other differently, which is the beginning of discrimination and bullying.

高中部副校长葛顺勇就此发表了主旨演讲。随后学校校长纷纷在Pink Day主题板前留下自己的签名,发表反欺凌宣言。高中部学生蔡宇豪以歌曲《玫瑰少年》向全体同学呼吁建立平等友爱的校园文化。伴随着歌声,从小学、到初中、到高中,大家纷纷摇动粉色手环,喊出反欺凌口号。

Mr. Leo Ge, SUIS Qingpu’s Vice-Principal, delivered a keynote speech on this topic. The school's principals then left their signatures in front of the Pink Day signature board and issued an anti-bullying declaration.Raymond Cai, a high school student, appealed to all students to establish an equal and friendly campus culture with the song "Rose Young Man". During the singing, from primary school through to high school, everyone shook their pink bracelets and spoke anti-bullying slogans.

欺凌会给人带来不同程度的创伤,希望每个感到自己受到歧视或欺凌的人,或者看到有此现象的,都勇敢站出来,阻止这一行为。

Bullying can cause many different degrees of trauma. I hope that everyone who feels like they have been bullied or who sees bullying happening can stand up and prevent it.

 霸凌,不一定是满身伤痕。它可能是潜移默化的改变,排挤,孤立,令人丧失自信与自尊。它可能是无心之举,也可能是下意识的排挤。拥抱差异,尊重不同,每一个梦想都值得被看到,每一个个体都值得闪闪发光。

Bullying doesn't necessarily involve being covered in bruises. It can be a subtle change, exclusion, isolation, and lead to loss of confidence and self-esteem. It may result from an unintentional act, or it may be a subconscious ‘push away’. Embrace differences, respect differences - every dream deserves to be respected, and every individual can shine.

我认为反欺凌的关键应当植根于同理心和理解,培养一种不仅仅是抵制欺凌,更是积极促进包容、友善和相互尊重的文化。

我们可以采取积极主动的态度,通过研讨会、班会,亦或是戏剧和艺术表演等创造性媒介来提高人们的认识。通过让学生、老师和家长参与对话,培养共同的责任感,每个人都参与,防止欺凌事件的发生,我相信这个方法无论是对于线上还是线下都可以发挥作用。

 此外,至关重要的一点是为那些受欺凌影响的人建立一个强有力的支持体系,为他们提供资源和咨询服务,帮助他们克服自己的经历。从本质上讲,全面的反欺凌倡议可以极大地促进个人的全面发展,并在社区内培养团结和同情的意识。

In my perspective, the key for anti-bullying should be rooted in empathy and understanding, nurturing a culture that not only discourages bullying but also actively promotes inclusion, kindness, and respect for one another.We can take a proactive stance in raising awareness through seminars, workshops, and even creative mediums such as plays and artistic performances. By involving students, teachers, and parents in the conversations, a sense of shared responsibility can be cultivated, ensuring that everyone is on board with preventing instances of bullying. I believe all this can happen in both the online and offline world.

Moreover, it is crucial to have a robust support system in place for those affected by bullying, offering them resources and counselling services to help them overcome their experiences. In essence, a well-rounded anti-bullying initiative can greatly contribute to the holistic development of individuals and foster a sense of unity and compassion within communities.

More than a colour, more than a day!

Pink Day的理念,不仅仅局限于某一天、某一时刻。希望我们的同学都能把平等、关爱、尊重的理念深深植于心底,拥抱美好多彩的未来!The concept of the International Day of Pink is not limited to a certain day or a certain moment in time. We hope that our students can deeply root the concepts of equality, care and respect in their hearts, and embrace a bright and colourful future!
