2021年7月21日上午九点，我校部分师生作为市民代表准时与会在青浦区会议中心议政厅举行的区五届人大常委会第四十三次会议（扩大），这是我校继2019年第一次积极参与上海市“走进人大”活动的进一步延续和落实。

At 9:00 a.m. on July 21st , 2021, some SHBS teacher and students attended the 43rd meeting of the Standing Committee of the 5th People's Congress (expanded) in Qingpu on time as the representatives of citizens in the Council Hall of Qingpu District Convention Center, which has been the further continuation and implementation of our school's active participation in the activity of "Walking into the Shanghai People's Congress" for the first time since 2019.

会上我校师生旁听了区人大代表和委员们关于“区政府关于2020年决算（草案）”、“2021年上半年预算执行情况”、“2020年度本级预算执行及其他财政收支审计工作的报告”、“2020年区本级决算”、“本区2021年地方政府债务限额的议案”、“本区2021年地方政府债务限”、“区政府关于贯彻实施《中华人民共和国退役军人保障法》情况报告和区人大常委会相关执法检查报告”等报告的审议过程，切身参与了人大监督职能的落实过程。

At the meeting, teachers and students sat on while DPC members and committee members were discussing final accounts in 2020 drafted by the district government ", "budget implementation in the first half of 2021 ", "2020 annual budget implementation and other budgetary revenues and expenditures at the corresponding level of audit work report", “final accounts at the corresponding level in the district in the year 2020", "the local government debt limit bill in the year of 2021","  The deliberation process of "the District Government's 2021 local government debt limit", "the District Government's report on the implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Veterans" and the District People's Congress Standing Committee's relevant law enforcement inspection report "and other reports, and they participated in the implementation process of the People's Congress and witnessed how it was supervised with their own eyes.  

通过与会旁听，我校师生真切地感受到了人大严谨的立法和监督过程，深刻领会到了人民代表大会制度作为我国根本政治制度运行的科学性和规范性。同时，也大大增强了我们的公民意识、民主意识和政治参与意识。我们也希望通过切实的政治参与活动，帮助学生培养既立足我国民主实际又融汇中西的政治理解力，以及建立在此基础上的、更深层次的制度自信和民族自信。

By observing the meeting, the teachers and students of our school truly felt how rigorous the legislation and supervision process of the National People's Congress is, and deeply understood the scientific and normative operation of the people's Congress system as the fundamental political system of China. At the same time, our awareness of citizenship, democracy and political participation has been greatly raised. We also hope that by participating in political events, we can help students develop political understanding based on the reality of China's democracy and a combination of Chinese and Western politics. Based on such understanding, we can boost their deeper level of institutional confidence and national confidence.
