上海市民办尚德实验学校小学及中学联合科学展

2022年12月1日上海市民办尚德实验学校小学及中学联合科学展,意味着科学与世界的联结、融小和融中课程的传承和延续。此次科学展共分为三部分,开幕式、科学展览、SCIer演讲。

On Dec. 1st, 2022, the science fair with the theme of "Connecting" was held by the Primary Years Program & Middle Years Program of Integrated Department, which means the connection between science and the world, and the inheritance and the continuum of the curriculum. The event consisted of three parts, including the opening ceremony, science fair and SCIer speech.

01开幕式

Opening Ceremony

随着主持人的一声宣布,盛大的开幕式拉开了科学展的帷幕。经过一个月激烈的选拔角逐,通过学生自荐、教师推荐、资料审核、教师面谈,最终有如下6名同学获得"科创先锋"的殊荣,他们分别是:4A班顾皓天、5B班李宗训、5B班贾梓暄、6E班黄子墨、9B班于皓元、9C班许景豪。他们曾在2022年世界机器人大赛锦标赛、VEX中国锦标赛、青少年科创大赛等世界级、国家级、市区级不同类别的科创类比赛中表现优异,斩获奖项。

科创先锋们在台上展现了作为科创人的风采,讲述了自己在科创过程中的收获,同时融合部外方校长David 和融合部副校长Lizzy 也为科创先锋们颁发了荣誉证书与勋章。

With the announcement of the host, the opening ceremony started. After a month of intense selection,the following 6 students stood out and won the honor of Science Pioneer. They were 4A Jack,5B Leo and Allie,6E Molly,9B Raymond,9C Horan. They won prizes in world class, national and urban competitions, such as the 2022 World Robot Competition, VEX China Championship, Adolescents Science & Technology Innovation.

The science pioneers  shared their learning and achievements in the process of science and innovation. Meanwhile, the foreign principal of the Integrated Department, David, and the vice principal of the Integrated Department, Lizzy, also presented certificates and medals to the science pioneers.

02科学展览

Science Fair

来自融合部小学与中学的20个科学项目小组给我们带来了精彩纷呈的科学展。本次科学展分为五个主题,分别是人工智能、垃圾分类、水域环境、承重结构和食物发酵。经历长达3个月的努力探索,经历无数次的实验探究,项目小组成员们最终用科学的语言呈现出科学与世界“联结”的精彩,也让参观者们领略到课程衔接的魅力。

Twenty groups brought us a wonderful science fair, which consisted of five parts: artificial intelligence, recycling, water environment, supporting structure and food fermentation. After 3 months’ exploration and many experiments, students finally demonstrated the wonderful view of the tight connection between science and the world, showing the visitors the charm of curriculum cohesion.

项目介绍:我们的项目研究的是一个基于Arduino的智能家居模型,可以通过温度传感器,光线传感器等获取环境信息并随之对家里的电器进行控制和调节,向大家展示了我们对未来智能家居生活的畅想。

Project Introduction: Our project is about a smart home model, which is based on Arduino. It can obtain environmental information through temperature sensors and light sensors, control and adjust the home appliances, showing us the vision of smart home life in the future.

项目介绍:观察自然世界如何帮助我们解决问题?我们基于本单元学习的动物知识,通过研究草履虫的结构功能,模仿其纤毛的摆动,在各个班级以小组为单位,利用振动马达、刷子等材料制作了蠕虫机器人。这种仿生机器人可以在小范围灵活移动,在清洁和勘探等领域发挥重要的作用。

Project Introduction: How can observing the natural world help us solve problems? Based on the animal knowledge learned in this unit, our group studied the structure and function of paramecium and imitated the swing of its cilia. In each class, we made worm robots by using vibration of motors and brushes. This bionic robot can move flexibly in a small range and play an important role in cleaning, exploring, and other fields.

项目介绍:我们在仔细观察家里使用的净水器后,对净水器的工作原理产生了好奇,并进行了深入的研究。我们不仅弄清楚了净水器的原理并展示给同学们,同时也分享了自己在这个研究过程中产生的对水环境的关注,并希望将保护水资源的意识传递给参观展览的所有师生。

Project Introduction: After carefully observing the water purifier used at home, we became curious about the working principle of the water purifier and made an in-depth study. We not only clarified the principle of the water purifier and showed it to the students, but also shared the concern about the water environment generated in the research process, and hoped to pass on the awareness of protecting water resources to all teachers and students who visited the exhibition.

项目介绍:我们的项目基于三角结构的探索,进而开发出一种便捷的穹顶建筑结构。由方舱的便捷性想到,能否开发一种既可以快速搭建又能减少使用承重柱的建筑结构呢?通过调查研究,我们设计了这种穹顶结构。通过制作、测试与改进,我们生产出了穹顶的标准件,并成功制作了一种模型。这种结构还可以衍生出更多的模型,适用于不同的建筑需求,帮助人类解决更多的生活实际问题。

Project Introduction: Our project is based on the exploration of the triangular structure. We developed a convenient dome building structure.Through design, making, testing and improving, we developed a structure that can be built quickly and has no load-bearing columns. Then we produced the standard parts of the dome and made a model successfully. This structure can also derive more models, which are applicable to different building needs and help people solve more practical life problems.

项目介绍:怎样能有一个既干净卫生,又能随时提醒大家食物是否新鲜,定时消毒杀菌,停电提醒的智能冰箱呢? 基于目前存在着大量的冰箱食物浪费问题和冰箱变质食物引起的健康问题,我们研究制作一款自动冰箱检测器,打造健康清洁的冰箱环境。

Project Introduction:How can we have a smart refrigerator that is not only clean and sanitary, but also can remind people whether the food is fresh, and keep the function of regular disinfection, sterilization, and power failure reminder?  We have developed an automatic refrigerator detector that can create a healthy and clean refrigerator environment.

03SCIer演讲

SCIer Speech

在SCIer上半场演讲中,来自融小5A的李宗训、贾梓轩同学带来了他们的科创项目“太阳能智能黑板擦”的分享,他们不仅介绍了自己的项目内容,还和同学们分享了自己进行科创项目的过程和心得,鼓励更多的同学参与到科创活动中。

In the first session of SCIer speech, Leo and Allie from 5A presented their project, “Solar Smart Blackboard Eraser”. They not only introduced the content of their project but also shared the process and experience, which encouraged more students to take part in science and technology activities.

来自融中的陈晓东老师通过妙趣横生的科创案例,带同学进入到那个奇妙的科学世界里,激活了孩子心中的那个科学家。 华懋科技董事长万晓梅女士和同学们分享了自己公司攻克光刻胶工艺的艰辛历程,也使同学们深刻地感受到了科技创新的艰难,激励着大家努力学习,长大能为科技强国做出贡献。

Mr. Chen Xiaodong from MYP brought the students into the wonderful world of science through several vivid cases, which successfully activated the scientists in the children’s heart. Ms. Wan Xiaomei shared the arduous process of overcoming photoresist technology in her company, which also made the students deeply feel the difficulty of scientific and technological innovation. The speech encouraged everyone to study hard and make contributions to the scientific and technological power when they grow up.

在SCIer 下半场演讲中,融高学生徐芊晴、王彦跞、孙凡淇,化学教师李春光、家长雷霞分别从不同视角为我们呈现科学连接世界的奥秘与魅力。“可移动式水下检测机器人”的探索与创新,科学与技术的联系与发展,禽流感病毒的检测与疫苗研发,都让同学们深刻体会到了科学的强大力量,更加激发了对科学的兴趣和求知欲。

In the session 2, students, teacher and parent present the mystery of how science connects the world from different perspectives and topics. The exploration and innovation of "Water Quality Testing Robot Based on Arduino", the connection and development of science and technology, the research of influenza virus and vaccine were presented during the session. All of these made students deeply realize the power of science, and stimulated their interest in science.

科学技术无处不在,它与我们的生活息息相关,科技让我们的生活变得更加地丰富多彩。让我们用一双明亮的眼睛,去发现问题,用我们勤劳的双手和聪明的大脑去解决问题吧!
